Rental Agreement

Version 2026-08-23

This Rental Agreement describes your responsibilities as a ToteWorks customer for the totes and dollies delivered to you, in addition to our Terms of Service.

This Rental Agreement constitutes an agreement between you and Crosstown Vending LLC, doing business as Tote Works and publicly branded as ToteWorks (“ToteWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Rental period

Your order includes a 14-day rental period starting on your delivery date, unless a longer period was purchased at booking. The package quantities of totes and dollies included in your order are shown on your order confirmation.

2. Your responsibility for the equipment

You are responsible for the totes and dollies from the time of delivery until they are picked up. Please inspect the equipment at delivery and use reasonable care while it is in your possession - stack totes as intended, avoid overloading, and do not modify, alter, or misuse the equipment (for example, cutting, painting, or attaching hardware to a tote).

3. Access and delivery/pickup responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery and pickup addresses and for giving us whatever access information we need to complete your delivery and pickup - such as parking instructions, gate or building access codes, and stairs/elevator information. Providing incomplete or inaccurate access information may delay your delivery or pickup.

4. Unattended delivery/pickup

Unattended (contactless) delivery is only performed when you explicitly provide a secure placement location for the totes at booking or by contacting us directly. Once ToteWorks records the delivery as completed at the location you requested, you accept responsibility for the totes from that point. We do not currently capture photographic proof of delivery placement, so please confirm placement details with us directly if you have concerns.

5. Missing or damaged equipment

Our driver records the quantity of totes and dollies recovered at pickup, along with any that are missing or damaged, through our internal system. If equipment is missing or damaged beyond normal wear, we will contact you to discuss it. We do not automatically charge the payment method on file for missing or damaged equipment. Instead, we will send you an invoice or a secure Stripe Payment Link describing the reasonable replacement cost before requesting payment.

6. Extensions and failed pickup

If you need to keep your totes longer than your included rental period, extensions are subject to availability and billed at your package's posted extra-week price - contact us to request one. If you prevent pickup, are unavailable at the scheduled pickup time, or otherwise cause a pickup delay, we may invoice you for the applicable extra-week price for the additional time. We do not charge you for a delay caused by ToteWorks.

7. No automatic charges under our current system

ToteWorks does not store your payment method for open-ended, automatic future charges. Any charge beyond your original rental payment - including an extension, a late-pickup fee, or a damage/missing-equipment replacement cost - is handled through a separate invoice or a Stripe Payment Link that you review and approve before paying.

8. Disputes and contact

If you have a question or disagreement about a charge, missing/damaged equipment finding, or anything else related to your rental, please reach out through our Contact page so we can work it out directly.
